NEW DELHI – In a move drawing strong condemnation from human rights observers, the Indian government under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is facing allegations of orchestrating a systematic economic campaign against minorities—particularly Muslims—by facilitating employment platforms that exclusively serve the Hindu population.

According to reports, a new job platform named “Call Hindu” has been launched, which explicitly offers employment opportunities solely to Hindu candidates.

The launch event of this controversial application was officiated by Maharashtra Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha. The app has been developed by Vishal Durufe, a former member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), who publicly stated that “Hindu society must remain at the forefront.”

The initiative has sparked outrage among rights activists and legal experts, who assert that such platforms are a clear violation of India’s secular constitution, which guarantees equal opportunities irrespective of religion.

Critics argue that Call Hindu is part of a growing trend in India where employment discrimination is being institutionalized under the guise of nationalism.

Leaders affiliated with the ruling BJP, including Nitish Rane and T. Raja Singh, have also publicly supported economic boycotts targeting Muslims—further fuelling concerns of state-backed exclusion.

Observers warn that the creation of religiously exclusive employment platforms not only marginalizes the Muslim community economically but also deepens sectarian divisions in an already polarized society.

The move is widely being seen as part of a broader strategy by the BJP government to suppress minority rights through indirect economic means.
