PTI founder Imran Khan has undergone a routine medical examination at Adiala Jail.
According to jail sources, a team of doctors from PIMS Hospital conducted the checkup.
The examination was a part of a regular health checkup, not promoted by any emergency situation.
Sources confirmed that routine checkup is conducted every two week and there are no health concerns for the PTI founder.
Earlier in the day, the Punjab government, led by Maryam Nawaz, has dismissed four officers, including Adiala Jail’s Assistant Superintendent Riaz Khan and Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Akram, from their jobs.
According to a report by private TV channel Geo News, this action was taken by the Punjab Home Department, and the government has also issued a notification regarding the dismissal of the officers and personnel from Adiala Jail.
The statement indicated that the officers were found guilty during an inquiry into the murder of a prisoner.
The report mentioned that the statement clarified that the officers were dismissed due to their proven guilt in the inquiry into the murder.
The investigation was ongoing regarding the death of a prisoner in Adiala Jail’s mental health cell on February 29, and the Punjab IG of Prisons had ordered an investigation into the matter.
