Islamabad: Pakistan Teheek-e-Inaf founder Imran Khan has taken a significant step by imposing a ban on the return of those who have left the party.
According to sources cited by a private TV channel (Geo News), a 7-member committee has been established on Imran Khan’s instructions, which has been given the authority to decide the fate of the leaders who have left the party. The committee will be chaired by former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
In addition to Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the 7-member committee includes former Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser, former Minister Shehryar Afridi, former Leader of the House Shibli Faraz, Hamid Khan, Barrister Gohar, and Shandana Gulzar.
Shandana Gulzar has been tasked with preparing a report on the cases of women and the reasons for leaving the party. The final list of names will be sent to Imran Khan by the committee, who will decide on the return of the workers.
The party leadership, on Imran Khan’s instructions, is responsible for preventing the return of any leader to the party until the release of the PTI founder. Only after Imran Khan’s release will the leaders be able to return to the party.
