LONDON: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, while expressing concern over the Pakistan IMF agreement, said that the IMF would take away everything from us in three years in return for the loan.
Addressing a function organized by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in London, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that the IMF has written off everything we have in return for the loan. “The IMF will take everything from us in return for the loan of $6 billion in three years, it will lend $2 billion annually which is not a grant,” he said.
Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that he did not want to be an incompetent governor, however, he accepted the decision of the party but later he was sidelined. Earlier, he had said that he had never asked for the post of the governor but the party leadership had asked him to accept it. “When you are at the party you have to accept the decision of the party and you cannot rebel against it,” he maintained.
While criticizing the government, he said that the outdated system had failed to meet the needs of the people. “If I had been given another role, I could have delivered to the people. The Governor of Punjab said that so far we have failed to bring judicial and police reforms,” he said.
