ISLAMABAD: Illegal construction continues in the federal capital, while Capital Development Authority (CDA) staff have quietly taken their share in illegal construction in the most expensive area of Islamabad.
According to details, illegal construction is underway on the second floor of Islamabad’s most expensive Sector G-10 from street No. 191, 251, without the approval of the CDA.
Building contractor Waheed Mughal said, “We have requested to CDA inspector Maqbool for the approval of construction and permit in Islamabad.”
Mughal further said that their request is still pending, but CDA inspector Maqbool told them to continue construction and other matters will be resolved later.
Waheed Mughal said that inspectors come to the area twice a day to investigate. “They are aware of our construction while we have been doing construction without the NOC of CDA for over a month. While we have also installed the elevator for the construction,” he said.
On the other hand, CDA Inspector Maqbool expressed ignorance on the matter when contacted and said that he has not visited the area for over a month. Similarly, CDA’s deputy director Raheel Junejo, assured his full action on the matter.
