ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has issued a stay order for extension in employment for an Engineering member of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
IHC Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani conducted the hearing. Advocate Qazi Adil appeared in the court on behalf of Mayor Islamabad Sheikh Ansar Aziz. He argued that according to Humayun Akhtar law, members cannot get an extension as an engineering term.
The CDA appealed to the court to extend the term of the Interior Ministry’s engineering. In this regard, Mayor Islamabad Sheikh Ansar Aziz approached the IHC.
While processing the petitions, the court issued notice to the Federal Home Ministry seeking notice to all the parties, stopping any proceedings till the next hearing.
The HHC halted the implementation of extension of the tenure of Chief Metropolitan Officer MCI Humayun Akhtar while a stay order was issued on the request of Mayor Islamabad.
The court directed that Chief Officer MCI Humayun Akhtar’s term of employment recommendation not be followed. Later, the matter was adjourned.
