Islamabad/Rawalpindi: Residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi will experience a temporary power outage on Friday morning as the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) carries out essential maintenance and safety work on its transmission system.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, the scheduled shutdown is necessary to ensure the safety and reliability of the electricity distribution network. The work involves essential maintenance on the cable of the Tariq Shaheed Feeder at the Satellite Town Grid Station.
IESCO said electricity supply will remain suspended from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. During this period, several feeders connected to the grid station will remain temporarily out of service.

The planned outage will affect consumers served by the following feeders:
Shaheed Muhammad Din and Shamsabad
Sadiqabad and Syedpur Road
C Block and Shakrial
Noor Muhammad Road and Asghar Mall
Ojhri Camp and Afandi Colony
National Market and Abdul Rehman
Urology and Haideri Chowk
Fourth Road and Commercial Centre
New Millpur and Ghausia Chowk
E Block and Abu Bakr
Farooq-e-Azam and Jamia Masjid Road
IESCO has advised residents in the affected areas to plan their morning activities accordingly and cooperate with utility staff while the maintenance work is being carried out.
The utility said the temporary shutdown is intended to improve the safety and reliability of the power supply system.
