POTCHEFSTROOM: India beats Pakistan by 10 wickets in the 1st semi-final of the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
Both the openers of the Indian team played spectacular innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 105 runs in 113 balls, and Divyaansh Saxena scored 59 runs on 99 balls. India also reached the final of the tournament.
Earlier in the 1st innings, Pakistan was bowled out on 172 runs. Rohail Nazir played captain innings and scored 62 runs, while Haider Ali scored 56 runs in 77 balls.
SS Mishra was the leading wicket-taker of the match as he took 3 wickets for just 28 runs. Kartik Tyagi and Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets apiece.
India concluded with three victories from as many matches at the top of the group A points table. The squad had 8 points and a magnificent net run rate of + 3.598.
Pakistan emerged second place of under 19 World Cup 2020 in the ICC’s Group C points table, including two wins from three games. They ended the group stage with five points and a net run rate of + 2.706.
