KARACHI (Jul 15, 2025): The investigation into the mysterious death of model and actress Humaira Asghar continues, with new details emerging as authorities analyze digital and physical evidence collected from her residence.
According to investigative sources, forensic teams have successfully retrieved the complete mobile data from Humaira’s phones. However, no significant evidence has been discovered from the data so far.
Authorities confirmed that on October 7, 2024, Humaira attempted to contact 14 individuals, but none responded to her calls or messages. Among the contacted persons was a prominent television director currently based in Islamabad, who has since been approached by investigators.
Three mobile phones, a tablet, a personal diary, and various documents were recovered from the actress’s apartment. Investigators noted that while two of the mobile phones were unlocked, the third phone and the tablet were password-protected.
The passwords were later found written in Humaira’s diary. However, the tablet remains inaccessible as it was discovered in a damaged condition.
Humaira reportedly had three SIM cards registered in her name, each installed in a separate mobile device. A total of 2,215 phone numbers were stored across the three devices. According to call records, she had also attempted to reach out to her brother in early October.
Police officials emphasized that the investigation is being pursued from all possible angles. However, the exact cause of death will only be determined once the results of the medical examination and post-mortem report are received.
Humaira Asghar’s body was discovered on July 8 in her apartment located on the fourth floor of a residential building in Defence Phase 6, Ittehad Commercial area, Karachi.
