KARACHI: The Meteorological Department, while forecasting the weather for the next week, has said that it would remain hot throughout Sindh, on Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury will remain high in most places of the province from April 7 to April 9. In upper and central Sindh, the daytime temperature can go from 38 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius, while in the lower areas of the province. The temperature is likely to be between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius.
The meteorological department says that the weather in Karachi is likely to remain hot and humid. The temperature rise will continue till April 10, the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr. The mercury is also likely to touch 39 degrees Celsius. The mercury is expected to drop to 36 to 37 degrees in Karachi.
The Meteorological Department on Monday predicted that the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr will be on April 10 as the Shawwal moon is likely to be sighted on April 9.
The PMD said that the moon will be born at 11:21 pm on April 8 and will last between 19 and 20 hours around Maghrib prayer the next day. The moon will be visible for more than 50 minutes around sunset.
