Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Apni Zameen Apna Ghar program, a major step towards her vision of “Housing for All.”
The scheme provides free 3-marla residential plots to the poor and homeless across Punjab.
The initiative is being executed by the Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency, with the Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering Department (HUD&PHED) serving as the administrative body.
In the first phase of the program free plots will be provided to the eligible people in Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Jhang, Jhelum, Kasur, Khushab, Layyah, Lodhran, Mandi Baha-ud-Din, Okara, Rajanpur, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Vehari districts. While in the next phase the scheme will be extended to all areas of the province.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a permanent resident of Punjab (as per CNIC).
- Application allowed only within applicant’s home district.
- Applicant, spouse, or dependent children must not own property in Pakistan.
- Must have a clean criminal record.
- Not a defaulter of any bank or financial institution.
- All provided information must be accurate; false claims lead to disqualification.
