Three Pakistani films released on Eid-ul-Azha are earning well; however, the science fiction film “Umro Aiyar” has set a record, Radio Pakistan reported on Saturday.
According to the report, “Umro Aiyar” was the highest earner. Along with it, the films “Na Baligh Afrad” and “Abhi” are also performing successfully at the box office.
The Pakistani film “Umro Aiyar,” based on a story of suspense, thriller, and war against magical powers, topped the box office with a business of four and a half crore rupees in the first three days of its release.
Asher Wajahat and Samar Jaffrey’s film “Na Baligh Afrad” came in second at the box office, earning 1 crore and four lakh rupees.
Actress Kubra Khan and Mumtaz Gohar’s romantic film “Abhi” earned 93 lakh rupees, making it the third-highest grosser at the box office.
The showbiz industry circles have hailed the success of these films as a significant milestone for the revival of the Pakistani film industry.
