How did Karachi change in 2021?

The year 2021 has set and today the sun of the year 2022 is spreading its light in the world with all its rays. The development of the country is linked to the development of Karachi and the infrastructure of the city is of utmost importance for development.

Both Sindh and the federal government are working for the development of Karachi. What are the important plans for the citizens of Karachi in the year 2021? Let’s take a look.

1) Green Line project

Initially, the project was to be completed by the end of 2017, but the project was delayed after the government came to power at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) headquarters. However, on October 24, the second and final consignment of 40 buses of the Green Line project reached Karachi.

The first phase of the Green Line project is the route from Surjani Town to Numaish Chowrangi which is 22 km long. Inside these buses, a cockpit cabin has been constructed for the driver.

2) Fire tenders for Karachi

On January 10, the fire tenders and browser handover ceremony was held by the federal government for Karachi, in which Sindh Governor Imran Ismail handed over 50 fire tenders and two bowlers to KMC.

Talking to media on the occasion of handing over fire tenders, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that another promise of the Prime Minister for Karachi has been fulfilled. And bowsers were bought at a cost of Rs 1.46 billion.

3) Mahmoodabad canal 

Federal Minister Asad Umar and Ali Zaidi inaugurated the reconstruction of the 4 km long Mahmoodabad in Karachi on December 18 after completion of restoration work in its original form will be completed.

4) Tipu Sultan Bridge inauguration

Three schemes of Rs. 1.8 billion for construction of flyover at Tipu Sultan intersection, underpass at Haider Ali Road intersection, underpass at Tariq Road intersection, and construction of stadium road at a cost of 693.505 million have been completed.

5) Burns Road Food Street  

The boom on Food Street starts at 12 noon and hundreds of people work and eat and drink till late at night.

6) Urban forest projects 

Urban forest project has been started in Lyari and Malir under which thousands of plants have been planted. Provincial Minister for Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah said that it was inaugurated by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari with his own hands and Lyari Urban Forest will be further improved. It was informed on the occasion that although the rains caused damage, there are still thousands of trees and the trees have borne fruit.

7) Drive-in cinemas

Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated Drive-In Cinema in Clifton. A large number of citizens attended the inauguration ceremony of the Drive-In Cinema while Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab also visited the food stalls set up there.

8) Parks renovation

In addition to hockey ground, football ground, and jogging track in the premises of YMCA, the building was renovated and Jahangir Park and other parks were restored.

9) Manora Beach

Manohra Beach can be said to be a good but expensive addition to Karachi’s amusement parks. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the park, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said, ۔

10) Benazir Mazdoor Card  

During the distribution ceremony of the Benazir Mazdoor Card, which was launched in Sindh in May, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Benazir Mazdoor Card would provide various facilities.
