LAHORE: An accountability court will hear the case of former railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq and his brother Salman in the Paragon Housing scheme case.
AC Judge Jawad ul Hassan will conduct the hearing against Khawaja brothers today.
The court had already recorded the testimony of six witnesses so far. The National Accountability Bureau filed a reference consist of 17 folders against 5 accused including Khwaja Brothers.
Earlier last month, AC granted permission to Saad Rafique to attend the National Assembly session. He earlier filed a petition in which he sought permission from the court to attend the NA session.
Rafique in his petition also requested the court to allow him to shift him from the hospital of Lahore to Islamabad due to a fire incident at his jail barrack in which he was injured after his head hit an iron rod during the incident.
Saad Rafique along with his brother Salman Rafique was arrested on 11th December 2018 on the charges of signing an agreement with Paragon City regarding the sale of land worth over Rs393 million.

On 17th April 2019, the involvement of Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman in the Paragon City was exposed. Qaiser Amin Butt, the director of the Paragon Housing Society, was also included in the inquiry initiated by the NAB (National Accountability Bureau), and he was also arrested in November last year. Later, he agreed to turn approver against the Khawaja brothers and Zia.
