Lebanon’s Hezbollah announced that it had targeted military installations in northern Israel, including the Ramat David Airbase, the Amos base, and an explosives factory, in retaliation for Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza.
The group revealed on Telegram that three Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles were launched near the Megiddo Military Airfield, located west of Afula. This marked the first time Hezbollah has targeted this airstrip, which lies approximately 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) from the Lebanese border.
In a separate statement, Hezbollah confirmed that its Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles had struck both the Amos base and Ramat David Airbase, crucial logistical centers for Israeli military operations in the north.
Moreover, an explosives factory in Zichron Ya’acov, located north of Caesarea and about 60 kilometers (37 miles) from the Lebanese border, was also hit in the strikes.
Earlier reports from Israeli media indicated that missile sirens were triggered in several northern areas, including Nazareth, Afula, and the Galilee region.
Israeli military sources, as cited by local news outlets, claimed that 20 rockets were fired from Lebanon, some intercepted while others landed in open areas.
In response, Israel launched airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon. According to Lebanese health authorities, at least 492 people, including 35 children, have been killed, and 1,645 injured since the attacks began on Monday morning, displacing thousands of civilians.
