Summer 2023 is officially here and so are the number of much-awaited international movies that are ready to hit theatres.
These international movies such as ‘Barbie’ and ‘Mission Impossible’ will also be released in Nueplex and Atrium and Cinepax cinemas and many other theatres across the country; Let’s have a look:
1) The Little Mermaid
Released in theaters today, the movie is an official remake of 1989’s ‘The Little Mermaid’.
The movie revolves around King Triton’s youngest daughter, Ariel who is a beautiful young mermaid fascinated by the human world.
After she saves handsome Prince Eric from a deathly shipwreck, she is willing to risk everything to see him once more. Ariel makes a deal with Ursula, a power-hungry sea witch to experience life on shore.
2) Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ is set over a year after the events of ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’. The movie’s voice cast includes Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Daniel Kaluuya, and Oscar Isaac.
Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, the movie has been written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. The movie is set to release in theatres on June 2.
3) Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is a science fiction action film based on Hasbro’s Transformers toy line, and primarily influenced by the Beast Wars storyline.
The film is the seventh installment in the Transformers film series. Serving as both a standalone sequel to Bumblebee (2018) and prequel to the 2007 film, the film is directed by Steven Caple Jr. from a screenplay by Joby Harold,
It stars Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, as well as the voice talents of Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Liza Koshy, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Pete Davidson, Colman Domingo, Cristo Fernández, Tongayi Chirisa, and returning franchise regulars Peter Cullen, John DiMaggio, and David Sobolov. The movie is set to release on June 9.
4) The Flash
When the Flash (Ezra Miller) travels back in time to change events of the past, he finds himself trapped in an alternate reality where General Zod (Michael Shannon) has returned with threats of annihilation. In a desperate attempt for superhero help, Flash turns to Batman — but it is not the Batman he was expecting.
The Flash will be released on June 16, 2023, following multiple delays caused by the director changes, the COVID-19 pandemic, and post-production setbacks.
5) Mission Impossible: ‘Dead Reckoning Part One’
It’s up to Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the Impossible Mission Force to capture a new weapon that could threaten all humanity if put in the wrong hands. A global race for the weapon begins and Hunt must begin to consider that nothing — even the people he loves matters more than tracking it down. The movie will be released globally on July 12.
6) Barbie
Barbie (Margot Robbie) is expelled from Barbieland for being a flawed doll. Accompanied by Ken (Ryan Gosling) she takes off to the real world to discover what real happiness looks like. The movie is set to release across the world on July 21.
7) Meg 2: The Trench
An exploratory diving voyage led by Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) turns into madness when maligned mining operations send them into a fight for survival. They are forced to outsmart and outrun massive prehistoric sharks. The movie is set to release on August 4.
