Rain accompanied by strong winds has begun in various parts of Karachi.
Downpours with gusty winds have been reported in areas including North Nazimabad, North Karachi, Surjani, FB Area, Saddar and Clifton.
Similar weather conditions have also been observed in Cantt, Railway Colony, Delhi Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulshan-e-Jamal and Garden.
Thunder and lightning are continuing alongside the storm, while electricity supply has been disrupted in several parts of the city following the rainfall.
It is worth noting that the Pakistan Meteorological Department had earlier forecast rain across Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
According to the department, a western weather system is affecting most parts of the country, with rain expected today and tomorrow in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta and Jamshoro. There is also a possibility of hailstorms in Karachi.
