Over the past three days, heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have claimed in the deaths of 24 people due to various incidents, while 3 individuals have lost their lives in Punjab.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the rains have completely damaged 73 houses and partially damaged 71 houses in Kohat, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Hazara, and Malakand Divisions.
There are also reports of flooding and house collapses in Hangu, Haripur, Mansehra, Lower Dir, Charsadda, Mohmand, Bajaur, and Abbottabad. The report further mentions landslides in Abbottabad.
PDMA, district administration, and rescue teams are continuing relief efforts in the affected areas. People can contact the helpline 1700 for any information regarding natural disasters.
In Lahore, heavy rainfall in various areas has resulted in the deaths of 3 people and injuries to 7 others.
In Gujometa, near Baba Bullah Shah Interchange, the roof of a house collapsed in a village, resulting in one death and 5 injuries. In two incidents, electric shocks have claimed the lives of two citizens.
