Due to extreme heat in Karachi, 6 more bodies were found in different areas, bringing the death toll to 17 in the past 24 hours.
According to rescue officials, the bodies of 7 more people were found in various parts of Karachi, ranging in age from 35 to 60 years.
Rescue officials stated that most of the deceased were drug addicts who could not withstand the intense heat.
Three bodies were found by rescue officials in areas including Jamia Cloth, Golimar, and Super Highway, while two bodies were found in Gulistan-e-Johar and Landhi, and one body was found in Federal B Area Karimabad.
All the bodies were sent from the scene to the police station and then to the morgue, while the process of identifying the deceased is ongoing. Thus, the number of deaths in Karachi within 24 hours has reached 17.
Meanwhile, from the morning hours, there has been humidity in Karachi, which, along with the increase in temperature, has also caused an increase in moisture.
On the other hand, the temperature in Karachi today was recorded at 42 degrees, but the perceived heat was approximately 50 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department, yesterday the temperature in Karachi was also 41 degrees, but the perceived heat was felt to be between 50 and 52 degrees Celsius.
