The federal government has reportedly decided to arrest Chief Minister Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur from KP House Islamabad.
CM Gandapur is currently present in KP House Islamabad after he entered the capital city with a large convoy to protest at D-Chowk against the arrest of PTI founder Imran Khan.
As per the Private TV channel, police and rangers have entered KP House Islamabad for the arrest of the CM, while a prisoner van has also been reached outside the house.
It should be noted that a local court of Islamabad has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for CM Gandapur in an old case related to the recovery of illegal arms and alcohol from him.
Earlier, the CM refused to stop the protest and said that only Imran Khan could decide in this regard. ” If the government wants us to stop the protest it should connect with Imran Khan,” he said and added that he would enter Islamabad and reach D-Chowk at any cost.
Some analysts believe that Gandapur wants his arrest for face-saving purposes. To achieve this, he left the participants in his convoy and went to the KP House. Otherwise, it would not have been possible for the government to arrest him from the convoy.
