ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has informed that a lucky draw of 1, 49,330 Hajj applications will be held on 12th March according to which pilgrims will be shortlisted for Hajj 2020 under the government scheme.
According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, a total of 1, 49,330 Hajj applications were received at the designated banks across Pakistan under the government scheme.
It is mention here earlier in February that a sub-committee of the Senate’s standing committee on Religious Affairs had planned Pakistan International Airlines to reduce the fares for Pilgrims 2020l.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that the Hajj policy for the private coordinators would be announced shortly.
It is worth to mention here, Federal Minister Noorul Haq Qadri announced the Hajj policy and said that this year, one lakh 79 thousand 210 Pakistanis will be able to perform Hajj and the cost of official Hajj will be 4 lakh 90 thousand.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad last month, Noorul Haq Qadri said that the quota granted by Saudi Arabia to Pakistan is one lakh 79 thousand 210.
