KARACHI: On the occasion of Eidul Azha, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has extended heartiest felicitations to Muslim Ummah particularly the people of Sindh and said the day revives in us the spirit of sacrifice for the sake of both Allah and humanity.
On the occasion of the holy festival Eid-ul-Azha, Imran Ismail said that following the “Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) every year, we sacrifice animals in the way of Allah Almighty and distribute its meat among relatives, neighbors and the poor”.
The Governor of Sindh further said, “Various delicious meals are also prepared at home, on Eid Days and loved ones and relatives gather together to celebrate the Holy festival”.
He said, “This year the situation is different due to coronavirus and we need to be very careful during Eid-ul-Azha, adding that we have to take precautionary steps including social distance to prevent the spread of coronavirus on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha”.
The Governor further said that COVID-19 is still spreading all over the world but due to the foresight of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the situation of Pakistan is much better than that of our neighboring countries.
Imran Ismail said that nation can save future happiness by observing standard operating procedures to contain COVID-19.
The governor also urged the nation to look after the poor and generously extend their charity towards daily wage workers who are badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also called for unity among ranks following the injunctions of Allah and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to overcome the challenges faced by the country.
