Gold prices in Pakistan surged sharply on Thursday, mirroring gains in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs7,800 in a single day, reaching Rs328,800.
Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs6,688 to Rs281,893.
This rise follows a previous increase of Rs3,000 per tola on Wednesday, continuing the upward trend in domestic gold prices.
Internationally, gold prices also posted significant gains. APGJSA reported the global rate at $3,118 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting a daily increase of $78.
In addition, silver prices saw an upward movement, rising by Rs64 to settle at Rs3,234 per tola.
