Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Thursday, mirroring a decline in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs24,300 to settle at Rs499,462.
Likewise, the rate for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs20,833, bringing it down to Rs428,208, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, on Wednesday, the price per tola had remained unchanged at Rs523,762. Globally, gold prices also saw a sharp drop of $243, reaching $4,767 per ounce (including a $20 premium).
Silver prices followed the same downward trend, falling by Rs760 to settle at Rs7,734 per tola.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
