Gold price witnessed another surge of Rs. 1800 per tola in Pakistan on Saturday. After the recent increase, per tola 24 karat gold reached Rs340,600
Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs292,009 after it registered an increase of Rs1,543, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Friday, gold prices soared and reached a fresh record of Rs338,800 after a single-day rise of Rs10,000.
The international rate of gold also increased on Friday. As per APGJSA, the rate was at $3,236 per ounce (with a premium of $20), a record increase of $18 during the day.
Meanwhile, the silver price remained unchanged at Rs3,234 per tola.
Meanwhile, the price of per tola 24-karat gold in Saudi Arabia on Saturday (April 12) stood at 4,434 SAR, according to forex.pk.
Furthermore, the 10 grams of 24-k gold is being sold for SAR 3,805 in the kingdom while the per ounce gold price stands at SAR 11,836.
The latest fluctuation in gold prices comes after people rushed to safer investments following the trade war that ensued after US President Donald Trump announced tariffs on China, Canada, and Mexico.
