Gold prices in Pakistan dropped on Tuesday after remaining stable in the previous session.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs800, settling at Rs272,600. Similarly, 10 grams of gold were priced at Rs233,711, marking a decrease of Rs685, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Monday, gold prices had remained unchanged in the country.
Internationally, gold prices also saw a decline. The APGJSA reported that the global rate stood at $2,614 per ounce (including a $20 premium) after shedding $8 during the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady at Rs3,350 per tola.
In currency markets, the Pakistani rupee showed slight improvement against the US dollar, appreciating by 0.09% in inter-bank trading on Tuesday. By 10:45 a.m., the rupee was trading at 278.33, up by Re0.24 against the greenback.
