Global coronavirus cases exceed 31 million

WASHINGTON: The coronavirus has killed 965,068 people worldwide and infected 31,240,262.

Around the world, 22,835,459 people infected with the coronavirus have recovered and the number of active cases has come down to 7,439,735. The United States ranks first among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 241,188 deaths and more than 740,000 people diagnosed with the virus.

India ranks second in the world in terms of corona cases where the total number of corona cases has increased from 5.485 million. The total number of deaths from corona in India has reached 87,909.

Brazil is the third most affected country by Corona, with 4.544 million people affected and 136,895 deaths. Russia ranks fourth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with more than 1.13 million people infected with the coronavirus and a total death toll of 19,418.

In Peru, more than 762,000 people have been affected, while 31,369 have lost their lives. Colombia ranks fifth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 24,208 deaths and more than 765,000 reported cases.

The death toll from Corona in South Africa has risen to 15,953, with more than 661,000 people affected. In Mexico, more than 697,000 people were affected and 73,493 died. The first case of coronavirus was reported on November 17, 2019, and on 6th March, the number of cases worldwide exceeded one million.
