A schoolgirl was allegedly sexually assaulted at JTMC School located near Soldier Bazaar No. 1, Kachi Para, Karachi.
According to police officials, when the student reached school in the morning, the watchman’s son Shehryar allegedly tried to rape her.
The accused fled after the incident, but the police took action and detained Shehryar.
Residents and locals protested against the incident in Soldier Bazaar and burned tires. According to the police, further investigation into the incident is underway.
Meanwhile, the accused of raping and murdering a one-and-a-half-year-old girl was sent to jail on judicial remand by a Karachi court.
The case of alleged rape and murder of a one-and-a-half-year-old girl, Ezal, was heard in the court of Judicial Magistrate South Muzammil Ali Soomro, in which the police presented the accused Manan in the court after the completion of his physical remand. The court sent the accused to jail on judicial remand.
According to the plaintiff’s lawyer, the court has accepted the request to send the accused Manan to an adult prison. Advocate Shakir Tanoli said that the DNA reports of the accused and the victim are yet to come.
