The German Consulate in Karachi has announced the resumption of visa services after a temporary suspension due to security concerns.
Security concerns have previously forced the German Consulate in Karachi to halt its visa services. Pakistani citizens whose visas have already been processed can collect them from the consulate. However, new visa applications from non-European nationals will not be processed until further notice.
“The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Karachi has resumed normal operations for non-EU citizens,” the consulate stated on Friday.
The consulate in Karachi handles visa operations for Sindh and Balochistan, which were affected by the suspension. Meanwhile, the German Embassy in Islamabad will continue its operations for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
