Gangwar member arrested in Karachi, arms seized

KARACHI: Police conducted an operation and arrested a key operative of the gangwar and seized arms and ammunition from his possession.

Senior Superintendent (SSP) East Sajid Amir Sadozai directed DSP Shahrah-e-Faisal Police Station Iqbal Shaikh along with SHO Inspector Sarwar to conducted the operation.

Police arrested suspect Faraz Ali alias Dabar, who was riding a motorcycle on the main Shahrah-e-Faisal road. Police also recovered a bag contained a Kalashnikov, 60 rounds of ammunition, two 12-bore repeater guns, and a 13-bore unlicensed gun.

The suspect is said to a key member of the gangwar group in Chanesar Goth. The suspect had been imprisoned in several cases. He was reportedly carrying the weapons to Malir. Police have lodged a case and the suspect is being interrogated to know more about his operations.
