The Sindh government will launch a free shuttle service for passengers traveling to the bus terminal from various locations in Karachi starting August 14.
Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon made this announcement after presiding over a high-level meeting regarding the relocation of bus stands from the city center.
The meeting decided that bus stands currently located in areas such as Cant Station, MA Jinnah Road, and other parts of the port city will be moved to the Bus Terminal in the Sohrab Goth area. To facilitate commuters, the free shuttle service will begin on August 14, operating from different parts of the city to the terminal.
The senior minister stated that the shuttle service will run from Cant Station, Sagheer Shaheed Road, MA Jinnah Road, and Al-Karam Square.
Addressing the need for the shift, the minister noted that heavy traffic in the city has put pressure on the roads, causing traffic jams and other difficulties for the public. He assured that the Bus Terminal will be equipped with modern facilities and complete security.
