KARACHI: Police arrested four suspects for possessing gutka and other harmful substances in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi.
Police conducted two raids in Qayumababd and Kalapul area. A man was arrested carrying 160 packets of hazardous gutka and other tobacco products. Another suspect was arrested carrying 380 packets of Rajni tobacco.
In a separate operation, Defence Police arrested a suspect and seized 148 packets of gutka and tobacco products along with Sheesha and packets of flavoured tobacco. Another suspect was arrested carrying 250 packets of flavoured tobacco.
The suspects have been identified as Saqib, Amir Hasan, Akhtar and Aftab Pathan. A case has been lodged against the prohibition of gutka act and they have sent in lockup.
