LAHORE: A former senior police officer has been assassinated in Lahore close to his residence in what appeared to be an incident of target killing.

According to details made available with MM News, a lone biker targeted former SP Chohang Training Center Lahore Chaudhry Farhat Abbas in front of his Iqbal Town home, and fled from the scene.
CCPO Bilal Kamyana has ordered SP Iqbal Town to submit a report about the incident.
The CCPO is reported to have given the police instructions to thoroughly examine the evidence and the CCTV footage before making an immediate arrest of the suspect. He also gave the police instructions to use all available means to apprehend the murderer.
