Saudi Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and Foreign Affairs Minister of UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan were received by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on their arrival at Islamabad International Airport .
The respective Ministers will have meetings with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Chief Of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The two important Ministers arrive in Pakistan during a high tense environment when Pakistan and India are in between a diplomatic conflict over the abrogation of Article 370, which has stripped off Kashmir of its special autonomy and privileges.
They are visiting Pakistan after Prime Minister Imran Khan called the Crown Princes of United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and informed the respective Crown Princes of the situation faced by millions of Kashmiris under the occupation of Indian Armed Forces.
In a conversation with the reporters yesterday, Shah Mahmood Qureshi told them that both of the Ministers are visiting Pakistan after they were informed of the situation in the Valley of Kashmir. He also added that the Ministers will be briefed about the viewpoint of Pakistan on India’s stance on Kashmir.
He further said and added,” Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates are most important countries. We will present the viewpoints of Pakistan and the residents of Kashmir in front of them.”
It has been 31 days since India imposed a curfew in Kashmir. People are besieged and trapped inside their homes. Media and Indian Political leaders are barred from entering Kashmir.
