ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has rejected claims, made by Russian Senator Igor Morozov, regarding Pakistan-Ukraine discussion on technologies for nuclear weapons. Foreign Office spokesperson Asim Iftikhar termed the claims as “unfounded and baseless.”
The denial by Pakistan came days after Russian senator alleged that Ukraine and Pakistan recently discussed the technologies for developing nuclear weapons, and that “Ukrainian specialists went to Pakistan and received a delegation from Pakistan to discuss technologies for creating nuclear weapons.”

FO Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said “we are surprised by such an unfounded and baseless statement, which is without any rationale and “entirely inconsistent” with the spirit of Pakistan-Russia relations. He said Pakistan is seeking clarification on the statement from Russia.
