ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Ayesha Farooqi has denied Indian army chief Lt Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane’s accusation of ceasefire violations.
In a statement, Ayesha Farooqi said that Pakistan was sufficiently able to respond to any Indian attack in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The spokesperson highlighting India in her statement further said that the neighboring country should not forget Pakistan’s befitting response to its aggression in Balakot last year.
Farooqi added that Pakistan would continue its efforts for peace and stability in the region despite the provocations from India.
She while once again stressing over the alarming situation in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) said that the Kashmiris demand for their right of self-determination was justified and in line with the United Nation’s resolutions, India should allow global media reporters to visit IoK.
The statement of the spokesperson came after the statement of Army Chief General of India in which he accused Pakistan of ceasefire violations.
He said that all efforts by the Pakistani army to divert our attention from state-sponsored terrorism have failed.
He warned Pakistan in a strong tone that India reserves its right to advance surgical strikes to target terrorist bases across the border.
According to him, Pakistan was using terrorism as a state policy.
