Five individuals have been arrested in the Iranian city of Yazd on charges of collaborating with Israel, as reported by international media on Saturday.
According to Iranian media, Iran has arrested five people in the central city of Yazd for taking photographs and “collaborating with Israel.”
Reports state that these arrests were made at a time when tensions between Iran and Israel are high and the two countries are in a state of war; however, no further details have been disclosed regarding the matter.
It is noteworthy that Israel officially began the war by attacking Iran early Friday morning, after which Iran launched over 200 missiles in a retaliatory operation against Israel, which is still ongoing.
Israel carried out airstrikes on dozens of locations in Iran, targeting the residences of military leaders as well as military and nuclear facilities.
In the Israeli attacks, six scientists were martyred along with the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard General Hossein Salami, Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Bagheri, Commander of Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, and other senior officers.
