KARACHI: The district police today (Tuesday) have arrested an 18-year old girl allegedly involved in motorbike lifting from Karachi’s Mauripur area.
According to details, the police arrested Beenish alias Kattu, who is also a boxer, from Mauripur Road’s ‘P’ bus stop. The woman used to steal motorbikes with the help of her two accomplices, who haven’t been arrested yet.
The woman, identified as Beenish from Lyari, disguised herself as a boy and lifted motorbikes from the streets. “I haven’t done any robbery before. It was the first and last one,” Beenish claimed.
She further said that someone stole the motorbike and gave it to her, adding that she was arrested because the motorbike was recovered from her.
Earlier on Monday, the police claimed to have arrested two suspected motorcycle lifters in the Baloch Colony area of the metropolis.
The arrested suspects were identified as Mohammad Noman and Waseem. Police sources said that the police team also recovered a motorcycle, mobile phones, and cash from their possession.
