The federal government on Sunday denied the news circulating on social media regarding the smart lockdown measures being implemented across the country amid the ongoing fuel crisis.

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar declared the smart lockdown notification attributed to the federal government fake and appealed to the public not to believe unverified information.

Despite claims that government offices would adopt hybrid work with digital attendance monitoring, private offices would face remote work mandates, and public buildings would shift to solar power, no such measures have been finalized or announced.

It is to be noted that PM Shehbaz Sharif in his recent address to the nation, hinted at measures amid the fuel crisis after the Middle East tensions.
