In a statement on social media site Twitter, the FBR said is incumbent on all industrial and commercial users to be registered under income tax laws

Zaidi said that the FBR was working diligently to increase the number of those registered under the income tax net.

He also revealed that an aggressive campaign will be launched from October 15 to achieve the desired results.

“All industrial and commercial consumers are necessarily required to be registered for tax purposes. FBR had been using persuasive modes operandi for the same. In order to achieve the desired results an aggressive drive will be undertaken from October 15, 2019,” he tweeted.

New category in Citizens Portal

On Wednesday, a separate category was been added to the ‘Pakistan Citizens Portal’ application after a formal request of the FBR.

With the new feature in ‘Citizen’s portal’, people will be able to register their complaints directly to the concerned authorities, easily and more conveniently.

Zaidi had given a special briefing to Prime Minister Imran Khan on the subject and tendered the request for the feature in the application after which the directives were issues. An official notification was also issued by the prime minister’s office.
