FBR collected Rs329 Billion from FED and GST in FY2025–26

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recorded an increase in tax collections, generating Rs329 billion through Federal Excise Duty (FED) and General Sales Tax (GST) during the 2025–26 fiscal year.

According to details, the FBR collected Rs329 billion in revenue from FED and GST in FY2025–26, compared with Rs284 billion during the 2024–25 fiscal year. This represents a net year-on-year increase of Rs45 billion.

Government sources confirmed that the additional revenue generated through Federal Excise Duty and General Sales Tax is estimated at approximately Rs45 billion.

The sources stated that the increase reflects the rise in collections from Rs284 billion in FY2024–25 to Rs329 billion in FY2025–26, highlighting improved revenue performance in these two key tax categories
