Jamiat Ulema Islam (F) leader, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, strongly denounced the recent Israeli assault that resulted in the martyrdom of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, calling it a cowardly act of terrorism.
In a statement to the media, Fazlur Rehman voiced his anger over Nasrallah’s killing, emphasizing that the Hezbollah leader’s life was dedicated to resisting Israeli oppression.
“Hassan Nasrallah’s entire life symbolized the fight against Israeli aggression. We firmly condemn his assassination in this Israeli strike,” Rehman stated.
The JUI-F chief further remarked that Nasrallah’s martyrdom would only strengthen the resolve of those resisting Israeli policies, saying, “His death has further fueled the condemnation of Zionism.”
He called on the international community to take note of the far-reaching consequences of such actions on the ongoing conflict in the region.
The Israeli airstrikes on Friday hit the southern part of Beirut, leaving two people dead and several others wounded.
While the Israeli military confirmed responsibility for the attack, Hezbollah announced the martyrdom of its leader, further escalating tensions in an already fragile region.
