ISLAMABAD: Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has submitted a privilege motion against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif in the National Assembly (NA).
A privileged motion is a motion that is granted precedence over the ordinary business because it concerns matters of great importance or urgency. Such motions are not debatable, although, in case of questions of privilege.

Fawad Chaudhry in his filed motion said that Khawaja Asif distorted the truth on the floor of the House, which was equivalent to a breach of the privilege of the entire House.
It came after Khawaja Asif’s speech in the NA where he claimed that the government’s law officer remarked negatively about his leader Nawaz Sharif.

Fawad requested that the statement made by the PML-N leader should be taken up for discussion.
Earlier on Thursday, Fawad Chaudhry said that the incumbent government took a big step by allowing Nawaz Sharif to travel abroad.
Fawad Chaudhry said in a tweet said that PML-N should stop politicizing his leader’s health and ensure the guarantee.
