Faizan Bari from is an exceptionally skilled graphic designer but no one is willing to hire him due to his health condition as he suffers from a rare bone disease.
Speaking to MM News, Faizan Bari, who hails from Karachi, said, “I have a joint problem. I had this problem when I was two years old and now I have been fighting this disease for thirty years.”
“Rheumatoid arthritis is a very rare condition,” he explained. “Only 5% of people in the world have this disease. We are born perfectly well, but when we are two years old, our joints start to swell.”
“When we visit doctors, they give us cortisone, which has a very bad effect on the body. I have a blood pressure problem. This is also due to the use of cortisone,” he said.
Faizan said he started learning graphic designing in 2014 and received a diploma. He started working in a software company where he was in a junior position and maintaining a website.
He said during his job, he made some friends with whom he started working online and even some received international clients. “But then corona pandemic came and everything went down and all my friends separated. The job is over and so is the work,” he explained.
In response to a question, Faizan Bari said he has applied for several jobs but every company has its own excuses and reject him.
“Someone don’t hire me because I have a medical problem and someone say you are too short. Some pay so little that more than half of the salary is spent on rent,” he added. “I also appealed for help from JDC and Imran Khan’s youth program but I got no response from either place,” he complained
Faizan Bari said that Imran Khan always said he wants to establish the State Of Madinah where everyone has equal rights.
“I appeal to them to give rights to people like us, provide jobs, and our rights based on our capabilities,” he added. “I appeal to Imran Khan to reconsider, otherwise we will be left far behind,” he appealed.
