Eyes set on returning to the national team, says Sohaib Maqsood

LAHORE: Young batsman Sohaib Maqsood has his eyes set on returning to the national team as he just revealed of getting a chance to play good innings in the top order.

In an interview, the young batsman said that he is trying to improve his batting and make a place in the national team again after improving his shot selection, he managed to score more runs in domestic cricket at this position. “I have not been able to represent Pakistan since 2016. I have been suffering from injuries,” he revealed.

Sohaib Maqsood said that other batsmen are also playing very well at the moment. “I try to show good performance wherever I get a chance so that I can get the attention of selectors,” he revealed.

In response to a question, he said that the performance of Multan Sultans was not bad in Karachi but they kept losing by a small margin. “I will give credit for the recent success to the bowling line. After backing down, we have no room for error. We will try to reach the playoffs and then the finals by maintaining the winning streak in the next matches as well,” he shared.
