KARACHI: On the directives of Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla, a drive against narcotic suppliers is in full swing across Sindh province.
During this coerce a special team of Excise Department Karachi, conducted a raid in Government Degree Science College Liaquatabad and apprehended a drug peddler, Asadullah. The raided team also recovered more than one-kilogram ice heroin from his possession. A case has been lodged against the accused and investigation and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued here on Saturday, Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Secretary Excise and Taxation and Counter-Narcotics Abdul Haleem Sheikh and Director General Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui appreciated the Excise Team and asked them to prolong their efforts against narcotics and peddlers and restrain their activities at all levels in the province.
It should be noted that the drug named Ice is being provided to the students of schools and colleges. Earlier, on the instructions of Minister for Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control, a special task force has also been established to prevent this drug addiction for educational institutes in the province. The task force was assigned to work across the province.
