Islamabad: An earthquake jolted parts of northern Pakistan measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale on Thursday.
The tremors were felt in Islamabad, Malakand, Abbottabad, Malakand, Shangla, Swat, Chitral, Dir Bala, lower Dir, and adjoining areas.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the intensity of the earthquake was recorded 5.4 on Richter Scale, while its depth was 96 kilometers inside the land and its epicenter was border area of Tajikstan and Afghanistan.

People immediately vacated their homes and workplaces and rushed out into open places.
No loss of life or property has been reported during the earthquake.
Earlier on 5th November, An earthquake of a magnitude of 3.7 jolted Sibbi, part of Balochistan.
The intensity of the earthquake’s epicenter was 66 kilometers away from Sibbi on the South Eastern side.
