Actress Dur-e-Fishan, who rose to fame from the drama serial ‘Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi’ has revealed that she has never faced harassment in the showbiz industry.
In an interview, the actress revealed that showbiz has become much safer for females over the past few years. To a question, she said that her parents did not want her to join showbiz because it was instilled in their minds that women were harassed. “However, I say it honestly that during the past two years, I did not feel harassment,” she said.
Dur-e-Fishan also praised singer Meesha Shafi for raising voice against harassment, and she believes it to be a primary reason behind the showbiz industry becoming safer for female actors. “Now every person is scared, they know their limits,” she added.
Dur-e-Fishan Saleem made her debut as a supporting role Erum in Hum TV’s serial Dil Ruba. She was last seen as protagonist Mahek in ARY Digital’s dramatic Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi.
Her father, Saleem-ul-Hassan used to direct and produce television serials for PTV under his production house Digisal Media in 2000s.
She got earlier education from Lahore and got degree of LLB from Universal College London in 2020. In 2019, she shifted to Karachi to make her carrer in acting.
