Professor Adeeb Rizvi, the founding director of the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), has been hospitalized due to deteriorating health.
According to a press release issued by the institute, the eminent doctor had been suffering from a cold and related flu symptoms. He visited a local hospital on Saturday for a consultation with his pulmonologist.
However, as reported by Express News, Dr. Rizvi’s health has shown improvement during treatment. Officials from SIUT have confirmed that he will be transferred to the institute within the next 24 hours. Earlier, he was admitted to a private hospital after his condition worsened.
It is worth noting that Dr. Rizvi’s tireless dedication to the healthcare sector has earned him immense respect. He founded SIUT in 1970 at Karachi’s Civil Hospital and has been highly regarded for his exceptional contributions to kidney dialysis, organ transplantation, and free medical care since 1985.
