Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has taken a firm stance against allegations linking him to notorious underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim. The actor has issued a legal notice to the ANI news agency over a report that suggested connections between him and Ibrahim’s criminal organization, known as “D-Company.”
The controversy erupted following an ANI article published on September 4, which cited statements from attorney Amit Mishra, who is defending two individuals involved in a shooting incident near Khan’s residence. The report claimed that Khan had ties to Ibrahim, sparking outrage from the actor and his legal team.
Khan is demanding a public retraction of the claims and an unconditional apology, asserting that the allegations are not only false but also defamatory, damaging to his reputation and career. “These claims are vicious, baseless, and utterly unfounded,” he stated in his notice to ANI.
This is not the first time Khan has faced scrutiny regarding his connections to the underworld. The actor has previously been targeted by extortion threats and has had legal entanglements that overlap with organized crime issues—situations not uncommon in the Indian film industry. However, any such interactions have generally been framed as hostile rather than collaborative, with Khan consistently denying any formal ties to criminal organizations.
As the actor works on his upcoming action film “Sikandar,” which features co-stars Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal, he remains focused on his career, asserting that he will not be distracted by these unsubstantiated claims.
While the rumors persist, there is no credible evidence to support any connections between Salman Khan and Dawood Ibrahim, with the actor firmly rejecting such allegations as defamatory fabrications.
